In the early 1980’s, Pan and three of his friends emerged as pioneers in Chinese modern art. Soon after, they immigrated to America with the sincere purpose of experimentation, seeking to mix their traditional aesthetic values with Western main–trend art. His abstract paintings are a series of radiant worlds on canvas. His linear forms, laid down in translucent layers, intersect organic pools of iridescent color, just as thought and emotion intersect.

Pan’s Shangri–La Stone sculptures were unveiled in the spring of 2001. After selling out his first two sculpture shows, it was evident that Pan is continuing to push himself and his art, much to the praise of the art world.

Medium: Mixed media on canvas, Tibetan stone from the southwest region of China
