Framing client prints and posters are a popular request in our business. We first determine where the piece will hang in order to make recommendations on mounting before we recommend framing styles. After mounting has been determined we move on to design.

What is mounting? Mounting is the first step in any framing process. When you purchase a poster online it is often been printed on paper and comes rolled in a tube. We, first, mount the paper on rigid, acid free, foam-core cardboard. Pieces can be dry mounted (which is a heat process that adheres paper to the mounting board), or perfect mounted (which uses a board that has been coated with glue and piece is pressed onto board).

Additional Mounting Options: Plak Mounts, Gel Treatments, Foam Core Mount

FYI: Posters and prints are a less expensive alternative to decorating (versus costly original artwork). In addition to framing we sell a number of fine art prints and posters in our gallery.
